Miguel Angel Cervera, the Regional Director of Microsoft, captivated the audience at the Universidad Europea de Madrid during the Digital Week celebration this Wednesday, March 13 at 12:00. In his conference, Cervera offered an inspiring vision about the future of work in the era of digitalization. He stressed the importance of adapting and taking advantage of the new technologies that are increasingly integrated into our lives.

Cervera emphasized the need to be constantly evolving and learning to keep up with the quick pace of technological innovation, urging students to shape their professional future in tune with these changes. His speech resonated deeply with the students, who recognized the relevance of staying up to date with technological trends to not fall behind in today’s competitive job landscape.

In his speech, Miguel Angel Cervera highlighted a crucial topic: the presentation of Microsoft’s new tool, Copilot, which promises to significantly increase user productivity according to the company’s own surveys. However, despite the innovative potential of this advanced technology, Cervera stressed the need to have control over artificial intelligence. For him, AI must be used responsibly and ethically in a world that is constantly evolving and changing. This call for prudence and balance reflects a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities presented by rapid technological advancement in modern society.

Miguel Angel has highlighted an impressive milestone in the expansion of the ChatGPT model: it has managed to reach a staggering 100 million users in just 3 months. This speed far exceeds the adoption of other technological tools or platforms; while Facebook took 4.5 years, the Internet took 7 years and cell phones reached this mark in 16 years. This acceleration is evidence of the growing impact and demand for conversational artificial intelligence in contemporary society.

In addition, Miguel Angel highlights the current landscape of artificial intelligence in Spain. According to his data, 67 percent of Spanish companies are already actively using AI in their operations. Spain also ranks fourth in Europe in the development of generative AI, suggesting fertile ground for innovation and progress in this field. With these figures in mind, the spanish speaker envisions a promising future for his country if the potential of artificial intelligence is properly managed.
