In a recent press conference, the UPyD nº 2 and co-founder of the party, Carlos Martínez Gorriarán, declared that UPyd haven’t been able to successfully transmit the importance of the European Elections to the Spanish public.
“Abstention affects everyone,” said Gorriarán in an answer to a question concerning the poor 43% participation of the Spanish population in the elections.
On question about the Catalonian participation of 47%, the politician said that it’s impossible to know whether the increase in participation has benefited one party or another.
